Gifts for Gymnasts

If a gymnast in your life has a birthday coming up, or any other speacil occasion that requires a gift, and you're stumped as to what to get her, here are some great ideas she's sure to love!

1.Leotards
I couldn't leave these out, because gymnast's can never have to many. But, these can get a little pricey, so it's better for someone like a parent or grandparent to give. If you don't know where to get them, check out one of my other posts; i have several great brands listed with links.

2.Grips
Now, if your gymnast is Level 5 or up, she's going to need grips. Same thing with leo's though; they can get pretty pricey. And even if you gymnast already has a pair, you can get her the next size up for when she grows, or the same size as she has now, because it's destiny that she'll be at a super important meet, and her grips will tear, so it's good to have a back-up.

3.Grip Bag
These are really cheap, and come in so many colors and patterns that you're sure to find one your gymnast likes. You can get them from any brand that sells leo's, so check out my post that has all the links.

4.Pins
Gymnasts put these speacial pins on their bags, warm-ups, whatever. They usally say things like, "Good Luck!", or congratulate them on getting or going over a certain score, like 9.0 or 9.5. Pretty cheap, but they look really nice. A good place to get them is ten-o.com (i think that's the website...)

5. Apparel
All girls love clothing that declares what sport they're into, and gymnasts are no exception. Some shirts say, "If gymnastics were easy, it would be called football", or sayings that go with certain events. Prices vary, but Ten-O is a very good place to get this kind of stuff.

6. Bears
These bears are cheap, but very well made, really cute, and something she can keep forever. Most say a certain level, or "I made it to State!", or something about getting a certain skill. Get these at Gym Treasures, which is also a great place for apparel.

7.Slippers
Now, that might sound REALLY weird, but if you've ever been to a gymnastic meet, where girls usally aren't allowed to wear real shoes, you know what i'm talking about. Make sure your gymnast stands proud and her feet look great on the podium with some fun slippers. You can get these anywhere, and are usally very cheap.

8.Gym Kit
Just a kit or bag filled with pretty cheap stuff that gymnasts need for the gym. Includes: Wristbands(The kind that go under grips. You may have to order these), pre-wrap, athletic tape, headbands/scrunchies, Powerade or other energy drink, block of chalk, and a cute water bottle. These kit all together would probably cost $20-$25

9.Blankets
Homemade or storebought, all gymnasts bring blankets to meets, whether it's to sit on or to wrap around them while they wait. You can get one in her team colors, or find fabric that has a gymnastics print on it. Very fun, and pretty cheap.

10.Meet Kit
Just like a Gym Kit, except it's filled with stuff she needs for meets. Includes: Nail polish remover (Most meets don't allow nail polish), hairspray with NO SPARKLES (Most meets don't allow it and can result in a team deduction), haribands in team colors, scorebook, bobby pins, stress ball, energy bar, water bottle. Costs about $15-$20.

11. Shorts
All gymnasts wear shorts at the gym,  over their leo. You can get volleyball shorts, which are fun and brightly colored, or GK shorts, which are made for gymnastics and wear a little better. If you need the link for GK, check out my other post about Leotards.

12. Bags
All gymnasts need large, heavy duty bags to pack all their stuff, whether it's for meets, or just another day at the gym. You can get these at any sports store. Cna range anywhere from $20 to $100.

Well, i hoped this helped!
